Mygreatpleasuretosharemydreamwithyoutoday.wheniwasachild,iwantedtobeateacher.myfatherwasateacher,andhetaughtmealot.iworshipedhimverymuch.onmytenthbirthday,heaskedme,“whatdoyouwanttobewhenyougrowup?〞iansweredproudly,“iwanttobeateacherlikeyou!〞onhearingthis,myfatherwasveryhappyandsaidtome,“workhardandyourdreamwillcometrue.〞

Notlongago,oneofmyprimaryschoolteacherswasill.shewantedmetotakeherplacefortwoweeks.iwasgladbutnervous.myfathersaidtome,“thisisagoodchance.seizeit!iwishyousuccess!〞whenicameintotheclassroom,thechildrenwereveryhappy.iintroducedmyselftothem.soon,igotonwellwiththem.theyalllikedmeandilovedthem.withmyfatherandheadmastershelp,ididtheworkverywell.now,ioftenmissthoselovelychildren.

Ihaveadreamthatonedayeveryvallyshallbeexalted,everyhillandmountainshallbemadelow,theroughplaceswillbemadeplain,andthecrookedplaceswillbemadestraight,andthegloryoftheLordshallberevealed,andallfleshshallseeittogether.

Wow,whatadreamithasbeenforMartinLutherKing.Butthechangingworldseemstellingmethatpeoplegraduallygettheirdreamslostsomehowintheprocessofgrowingup,andsometimesIpersonallyfindmyselfsayinggoodbyeunconsciouslytothosedistantchildhooddreams.

However,wemeeddreams.Theynourishourspirit;theyrepresentpossibilityevenwhenwearedraggeddownbyreality.Theykeepusgoing.Mostsuccessfulpeoplearedreamersaswellasordinarypeoplewhoarenotafraidtothinkbiganddaretobegreat.Whenwewerelittlekids,wealldreamedofdoingsomethingbigandsplashy,somethingsignificant.Nowwhatweneedtodoistomaintainthem,refreshthemandturnthemintoreality.However,thetoughestpartisthatweoftenhavenoideashowtotranslatethesedreamsintoactions.Well,juststartwithconcreteobjectivesandsticktoit.Don’tletthenamelessfearconfusetheeyeandconfoundourstrongbeliefoffuture.Throughourtalents,throughourwits,throughourenduranceandthroughourcreativity,wewillmakeit.
