1、The Influence of Teachers on English Learning in Neichu ClassAlthough researches on the influence of teachers in class and after classhave a long history both at home andabroad , few researches care about such a special group of Neichu class. 240 students from two Neichu classes and two common class

2、es in No.66 Middle School in Urumqi are collected as the target students. Based on the previous research achievements , the questionnaire and interviews are used to measure and analyze teachers influence on students English learning. After the collection and analysis of questionnaire , the results s

3、how that there exists significant difference in teachers influence between Neichu class and common class.1.IntroductionIn order to narrow the distance of education level between poor areas and developed areas in Xinjiang, andalso make the youngsters equally enjoy high quality educational resources ,

4、 Neichu classes were set upin 8cities in Xinjiang. That is to say , some primary graduating students in the south of Xinjiang can have the chance tostudy in these eight cities and to share the same teaching materials with local students as long as they pass the Neichu class entrance examination. Aft

5、er three years of study in Neichu class, if they pass the high schoolentrance examination , they will have the chance to study in the developed cities ; otherwise , they will have to be back to high school in their hometown. Students in Neichu class should be paid more attention because they live fa

6、r away from home and it is difficult for them to integrate into a new environment.2. MethodologyThe participants in the study include 240 students inGrade Eight from Urumqi No.66 Middle School. There are 120 students from Neichu class , and 120 students from common class. The instruments used in thi

7、s study are questionnaire and interviews. All the results are the first-hand data,which is analyzed by SPSS.3. The Analysis of Teachers InfluenceIn order to see if there is significant differencebetween students in Neichu class and in common class,ANOVA( Table 4-1) was carried out. From Table 4-1, t

8、he analysis of the results shows that the sig. of teachersinfluence between commonc lass and Neichu class is .0.00 (P0.05 ), thus significant difference exists between Neichu class and students from common class from the aspect of teachers influence.Students in Neichu classare influenced by teachers

9、 seriously.During theinterviews , when students were asked some questions about their teachers. They admitted that teachers play the most important role in their present learning , and even in the school life. Their teachers often pay special attention to them, for example, when some important festi

10、vals coming , teachers often bring them presents.4. Results and DiscussionTeachers influence students invisibly in two aspects : students learning and their growth. Teachers positive emotion has positive effects on his or her teaching and students learning. With the influence of passionate and energ

11、etic teacher , students are tend to listen attentively , and answer questions positively , thus better teaching results can be attained in such a relax environment. On the contrary, if teachers are feelingtired , cranky , depressed , deep-voiced , students will be disappointed and lack of interest.

12、Teachers also havegreat impact on students growth. Although some teachers are not always treat acting moral models as one of their roles on purpose. it is impossible for students to be affected by their teachers , because values are included in teaching. According to Table 4-1and Table 4-2, bothstud

13、ents in Neichu class and commonc lass are influenced by teacher very much , but there also exist significant difference between the two types of class .Students in Neichu class live far away from home and most of the time they stay together with teachers and students. From the interviews , most of t

14、he students in Neichu class thought that they are influenced by teachers very much. For students in Neichu class , the roles of teachers are more than teachers , and they can be friends and even parents.5. Main Findings and ImplicationThe research shows that students in Neichuclass are influenced by

15、 teachers influence very much. Therefore, teachers are friendsteachers should care about his or her word and deeds. In the English teaching class , teachers should treat students as the class center , optimize teaching methods and psychological applications can be used to inspire students motivation.
