This writing part is required to talk mainly about the reasons accounting for learning English.Students
2、 had a better understanding of the development of English throughout the history through reading passage, which plays an important role in this part-how to use what Students learnt in the previous part to write an composition on learning English. Based on the new curriculum standard,the teaching obj
3、ectives are as follows:1.Knowledge objectives:By the end of this lestudentson the students will have a better understanding of the structure and characteristics of an poster. The students will grasp some useful words and exprestudentsions about the development of English to make a good poster.2.Abil
4、ity objectivesThe ability of cooperating with each other among the students can be improved through discussing.3.Emotional objectivesStudents will stimulate their learning motivation and confidence for English and more willing to express their opionions on the hot issuesThe key and difficult points:
5、.This is a writing clastudents so the teaching important and difficult points are how to make use of sentence structures theyve learnt to write an poster on the reasons about learning English and how to improve the Students writing skills along with the help of teachers guidance and practice. Based
6、on the analysis of teaching material, now let me analyze the students.二、Analysis of the studentsA senior student in high school has learnt English for several years. The students in this grade have known some basic knowledge of development of English and they are active in mind.They are able to expr
7、ess simple ideas in simple English under the teachers guidance. A gradually formed the competence of procestudentsing information and analyzing problems, however their writing skills and using the proper words and sentence sturctures is a bit difficult for them, therefore in this lesson, I will stre
8、ss the students ability of expressing English in a correct way. For instance, organize them to brainstorm their ideas in English about the significance of learning English. In addition, this topic is familiar to students as for their daily life, so I will make use of it to motivate them.三、Teaching m
9、ethodsIn this lesson, Ill mainly adopt task-based approach combined with procestudents writing approach. Attracting students attention to the class as well as arousing their learning interest. Ill design some tasks, like discussing the importance of English and the structure of the poster in groups.
10、 四、Learning methodsStudents will accomplish these activities through self-learning and working in pairs and in groups.Based on the teaching methods and learning methods above, I divide my teaching procestudents into the following six steps:leading-in, pre-writing, while-writing, post-writing, summar
11、y and homework.五、Teaching procedures(一)Step one : leading-in Students have learned many words and expressions about the features, development and functions of English in the reading passage.Therefore,they will have a brainstroming in this They will have a free talk on English in groups.Eachgrouphast
12、wominutestowritedownsome related words with the importance on learning English .The purpose is to arouse the students interest in the topic and review what they have learnt in the reading part.(二)Step two pre-writingIn this step,I will show the students the sample poster.Students will be encouraged
13、to read the poster and think over what are the structure and characteristics of a good poster. I will encourage some students to analyze and tell me their opinion, so as to improve their ability of analysis, conclusion and imitation(三)Step three while-writingStudents are encouraged to write through
14、group-cooperation. They are expected to design the structure and carry out parelle-writing through the given format of poster. While carrying out this work, the teacher may walk around the students to give some help when necessary.Targets: Guide the Students to write the passage, improve their commu
15、nication ability and cultivate their team spirit. (四)Step four post-writingStudents will work in their groups and correct mistakes in spelling, grammar and punctuation each other under the guidance of the teachers.Then they will choose some excellent compositions to present in front of the classroom
16、 and teachers will evaluate and summarize the common mistakes and merits in the writingTargets: Help the Students correct their composition and improve their evaluation ability.(五)Step five post-writingStudents are encouraged to summarize the key elements involved in making a poster. The teacher mak
17、es necessarysupplement.Then the teacher emphasizes the importance of learning English and students are inspired to study hard .(六)Step 6 homeworkStudents will polish their writing and make another poster as their homework. Their final work will be modified and selected, then the most successful ones
