Here s what worked well for me.Start tracking your gaming timeOneof the reasons why video gameseat up so muchtime is that they re so engaging.

2、 I can t count how many times I ve sat down to play games for “a couple of minutes and then looked up to see hours have gone by.Tracking your gaming time can help , says psychologist John M. Grohol.Prepare a spreadsheet or a piece of paper , and write down when you start playing a game and when you

3、stop. 1 I found it helpful.Start choosing games wiselyMMOs and RPGsfor example , are major time sinks. I would probably cry if I looked at my total time spent during the golden age of World of Warcraft .If you re having a hard time stepping away from these kinds of games because there s so much to d

4、o in them , cut them out of your gaming diet.That way, you can play in short bursts. I still indulge in these kindsof games occasionally , but I don t play as much as I used to.Figure out what you re escapingVideo gamesare a fun wayto de-stress and also one of the most advanced forms of escapism out

To reduce my gaming thirst , I started looking at my escapism habits from another angle.4Video gamesdo offer a nice respite from the harsh truths of reality.More often than not , I would be able to identify the things that were stressing me out and making me want to escape to virtual worlds

Written goals can be reviewed regularly , and

Having searchable book notes is important for returning to ideas easily.17 An idea is only usefulif you can find it when you need it. There is no need to leave the task of reading comp

21、rehension merely up to your memory.18 When you go to the library , all of the books will be dividedinto different categories. In the real world , of course , knowledge is not separated into neatly defined boxes.19 For that reason , I try toconsider how the book I mreading is connected with all of th

22、e ideas that are already inside myhead. Wheneverpossible , I try to combine the lessons I m learning with previous ideas.Summarize the book in one paragraph. 20 It forces meto review my notes and consider what is really important about the book. In manycases, I find that I can usually get just as mu
