英語(yǔ)面試常見(jiàn)的31個(gè)問(wèn)題和答案中外HR們手中的問(wèn)題其實(shí)是差不多的,思維模式大同小異。這31個(gè)問(wèn)題,也經(jīng)常出現(xiàn)在中國(guó)HR的問(wèn)題單里,或許他們最先的'起源就是微軟、GOOGLE等公司的HR們。有人說(shuō):“全球化實(shí)際上就是美國(guó)化“,這下你明白了吧?讀者們可以收藏了,熟讀這些題目,去什么外企都不怕了。Wouldn'titbegreatifyouknewexactlywhatahiringmanagerwouldbeaskingyouinyournextinterview?Whileweunfortunatelycan'treadminds,we'llgiveyouthenextbestthing:alistofthe31mostmonlyaskedinterviewquestionsandanswers.Whilewedon'tremendhavingacannedresponseforeveryinterviewquestion(infact,pleasedon't),wedoremendspendingsometimegettingfortablewithwhatyoumightbeasked,whathiringmanagersarereallylookingforinyourresponses,andwhatittakestoshowthatyou'retherightmanorwomanforthejob.Considerthisyourinterviewstudyguide.Canyou___mealittleaboutyourself?Thisquestionseemssimple,somanypeoplefailtoprepareforit,butit'scrucial.Here'sthedeal:Don'tgiveyourpleteemployment(orpersonal)history.Insteadgiveapitch—onethat'sconciseandpellingandthatshowsexactlywhyyou'retherightfitforthejob.Startoffwiththe2-3specificaomplishmentsorexperiencesthatyoumostwanttheinterviewertoknowabout,thenwrapuptalkingabouthowthatpriorexperiencehaspositionedyouforthisspecificrole.Howdidyouhearabouttheposition?Anotherseeminglyinnocuousinterviewquestion,thisisactuallyaperfectopportunitytostandoutandshowyourpassionforandconnectiontothepany.Forexample,ifyoufoundoutaboutthegigthroughafriendorprofessionalcontact,namedropthatperson,thensharewhyyouweresoexcitedaboutit.Ifyoudiscoveredthepanythroughaneventorarticle,sharethat.Evenifyoufoundthelistingthrougharandomjobboard,sharewhat,specifically,caughtyoureyeabouttherole.Whatdoyouknowaboutthepany?Anycandidatecanreadandregurgitatethepany's“About”page.So,wheninterviewersaskthis,theyaren'tnecessarilytryingtogaugewhetheryouunderstandthemission—theywanttoknowwhetheryoucareaboutit.Startwithonelinethatshowsyouunderstandthepany'sgoals,usingacouplekeywordsandphrasesfromthewebsite,butthengoontomakeitpersonal.Say,“I'mpersonallydrawntothismissionbecause…”or“Ireallybelieveinthisapproachbecause…”andshareapersonalexampleortwo.Whydoyouwantthisjob?Again,panieswanttohirepeoplewhoarepassionateaboutthejob,soyoushouldhaveagreatansweraboutwhyyouwanttheposition.(Andifyoudon't?Youprobablyshouldapplyelsewhere.)First,identifyacoupleofkeyfactorsthatmaketheroleagreatfitforyou(e.g.,“IlovecustomersupportbecauseIlovetheconstanthumaninteractionandthesatisfactionthatesfromhelpingsomeonesolveaproblem"),thensharewhyyoulovethepany(e.g.,“I'vealwaysbeenpassionateabouteducation,andIthinkyouguysaredoinggreatthings,soIwanttobeapartofit”).Whyshouldwehireyou?Thisinterviewquestionseemsforward(nottomentionintimidating!),butifyou'reaskedit,you'reinluck:There'snobettersetupforyoutosellyourselfandyourskillstothehiringmanager.Yourjobhereistocraftananswerthatcoversthreethings:thatyoucannotonlydothework,youcandelivergreatresults;thatyou'llreallyfitinwiththeteamandculture;andthatyou'dbeabetterhirethananyoftheothercandidates.Whatareyourgreatestprofessionalstrengths?Whenansweringthisquestion,interviewcoachPamelaSkillingsremendsbeingaurate(shareyourtruestrengths,notthoseyouthinktheinterviewerwantstohear);relevant(chooseyourstrengthsthataremosttargetedtothisparticularposition);andspecific(forexample,insteadof“peopleskills,”choose“persuasivemunication”or“relationshipbuilding”).Then,followupwithanexampleofhowyou'vedemonstratedthesetraitsinaprofessionalsetting.Whatdoyouconsidertobeyourweaknesses?Whatyourinterviewerisreallytryingtodowiththisquestion—beyondidentifyinganymajorredflags—istogaugeyourself-awarenessandhonesty.So,“Ican'tmeetadeadlinetosavemylife”isnotanoption—butneitheris“Nothing!I'mperfect!”Strikeabalancebythinkingofsomethingthatyoustrugglewithbutthatyou'reworkingtoimprove.Forexample,maybeyou'veneverbeenstrongatpublicspeaking,butyou'verecentlyvolunteeredtorunmeetingstohelpyoubemorefortablewhenaddressingacrowd.Whatisyourgreatestprofessionalachievement?Nothingsays“hireme”betterthanatrackrecordofachievingamazingresultsinpastjobs,sodon'tbeshywhenansweringthisinterviewquestion!AgreatwaytodosoisbyusingtheS-T-A-Rmethod:Setupthesituationandthetaskthatyouwererequiredtopletetoprovidetheinterviewerwithbackgroundcontext(e.g.,“Inmylastjobasajunioranalyst,itwasmyroletomanagetheinvoicingprocess”),butspendthebulkofyourtimedescribingwhatyouactuallydid(theaction)andwhatyouachieved(theresult).Forexample,“Inonemonth,Istreamlinedtheprocess,whichsavedmygroup10man-hourseachmonthandreducederrorsoninvoicesby25%.”Tellmeaboutachallengeorconflictyou'vefacedatwork,andhowyoudealtwithit.Inaskingthisinterviewquestion,“yourinterviewerwantstogetasenseofhowyouwillrespondtoconflict.Anyonecanseemniceandpleasantinajobinterview,butwhatwillhappenifyou'rehiredandGladysinCompliancestartsgettinginyourface?”saysSkillings.Again,you'llwanttousetheS-T-A-Rmethod,beingsuretofocusonhowyouhandledthesituationprofessionallyandproductively,andideallyclosingwithahappyending,likehowyoucametoaresolutionorpromise.Wheredoyouseeyourselfinfiveyears?Ifaskedthisquestion,behonestandspecificaboutyourfuturegoals,butconsiderthis:Ahiringmanagerwantstoknowa)ifyou'vesetrealisticexpectationsforyourcareer,b)ifyouhaveambition(a.k.a.,thisinterviewisn'tthefirsttimeyou'reconsideringthequestion),andc)ifthepositionalignswithyourgoalsandgrowth.Yourbestbetistothinkrealisticallyaboutwherethispositioncouldtakeyouandansweralongthoselines.Andifthepositionisn'tnecessarilyaone-waytickettoyouraspirations?It'sOKtosaythatyou'renotquitesurewhatthefutureholds,butthatyouseethisexperienceplayinganimportantroleinhelpingyoumakethatdecision.What'syourdreamjob?Alongsimilarlines,theinterviewerwantstouncoverwhetherthispositionisreallyinlinewithyourultimatecareergoals.While“anNBAstar”mightgetyouafewlaughs,abetterbetistotalkaboutyourgoalsandambitions—andwhythisjobwillgetyouclosertothem.Whatotherpaniesareyouinterviewingwith?Companiesaskthisforanumberofreasons,fromwantingtoseewhatthepetitionisforyoutosniffingoutwhetheryou'reseriousabouttheindustry.“Oftenthebestapproachistomentionthatyouareexploringanumberofothersimilaroptionsinthepany'sindustry,”saysjobsearchexpertAlisonDoyle.“Itcanbehelpfultomentionthatamoncharacteristicofallthejobsyouareapplyingtoistheopportunitytoapplysomecriticalabilitiesandskillsthatyoupossess.Forexample,youmightsay'IamapplyingforseveralpositionswithITconsultingfirmswhereIcananalyzeclientneedsandtranslatethemtodevelopmentteamsinordertofindsolutionstotechnologyproblems.'”Whyareyouleavingyourcurrentjob?Thisisatoughie,butoneyoucanbesureyou'llbeasked.Definitelykeepthingspositive—youhavenothingtogainbybeingnegativeaboutyourpastemployers.Instead,framethingsinawaythatshowsthatyou'reeagertotakeonnewopportunitiesandthattheroleyou'reinterviewingforisabetterfitforyouthanyourcurrentorlastposition.Forexample,“I'dreallylovetobepartofproductdevelopmentfrombeginningtoend,andIknowI'dhavethatopportunityhere.”Andifyouwereletgo?Keepitsimple:“Unfortunately,Iwasletgo,”isatotallyOKanswer.Whywereyoufired?OK,ifyougettheadmittedlymuchtougherfollow-upquestionastowhyyouwereletgo(andthetruthisn'texactlypretty),yourbestbetistobehonest(thejobseekingworldissmall,afterall).Butitdoesn'thavetobeadeal-breaker.Sharehowyou'vegrownandhowyouapproachyourjobandlifenowasaresult.Ifyoucanpositionthelearningexperienceasanadvantageforthisnextjob,evenbetter.Whatareyoulookingforinanewposition?Hint:Ideallythesamethingsthatthispositionhastooffer.Bespecific.Whattypeofworkenvironmentdoyouprefer?Hint:Ideallyonethat'ssimilartotheenvironmentofthepanyyou'reapplyingto.Bespecific.What'syourmanagementstyle?Thebestmanagersarestrongbutflexible,andthat'sexactlywhatyouwanttoshowoffinyouranswer.(Thinksomethinglike,“Whileeverysituationandeveryteammemberrequiresabitofadifferentstrategy,Itendtoapproachmyemployeerelationshipsasacoach...”)Then,shareacoupleofyourbestmanagerialmoments,likewhenyougrewyourteamfromfiveto15orcoachedanunderperformingemployeetobeethepany'stopsalespersonWhat'satimeyouexercisedleadership?Dependingonwhat'smoreimportantforthetherole,you'llwanttochooseanexamplethatshowcasesyourprojectmanagementskills(spearheadingaprojectfromendtoend,jugglingmultiplemovingparts)oronethatshowsyourabilitytoconfidentlyandeffectivelyrallyateam.Andremember:“Thebeststoriesincludeenoughdetailtobebelievableandmemorable,”saysSkillings.“Showhowyouwerealeaderinthissituationandhowitrepresentsyouroverallleadershipexperienceandpotential.”What'satimeyoudisagreedwithadecisionthatwasmadeatwork?Everyonedisagreeswiththebossfromtimetotime,butinaskingthisinterviewquestion,hiringmanagerswanttoknowthatyoucandosoinaproductive,professionalway.“Youdon'twantto___thestoryaboutthetimewhenyoudisagreedbutyourbosswasbeingajerkandyoujustgaveintokeepthepeace.Andyoudon'twantto___theonewhereyourealizedyouwerewrong,”saysPeggyMcKeeofCareerConfidential.“Telltheonewhereyouractionsmadeapositivedifferenceontheouteofthesituation,whetheritwasawork-relatedouteoramoreeffectiveandproductiveworkingrelationship.”Howwouldyourbossandco-workersdescribeyou?Firstofall,behonest(remember,ifyougetthisjob,thehiringmanagerwillbecallingyourformerbossesandco-workers!).Then,trytopulloutstrengthsandtraitsyouhaven'tdiscussedinotheraspectsoftheinterview,suchasyourstrongworkethicoryourwillingnesstopitchinonotherprojectswhenneeded.Whywasthereagapinyouremployment?Ifyouwereunemployedforaperiodoftime,bedirectandtothepointaboutwhatyou'vebeenupto(andhopefully,that'salitanyofimpressivevolunteerandothermind-enrichingactivities,likebloggingortakingclasses).Then,steertheconversationtowardhowyouwilldothejobandcontributetotheorganization:“Idecidedtotakeabreakatthetime,buttodayI'mreadytocontributetothisorganizationinthefollowingways.”Canyouexplainwhyyouchangedcareerpaths?Don'tbethrownoffbythisquestion—justtakeadeepbreathandexplaintothehiringmanagerwhyyou'vemadethecareerdecisionsyouhave.Moreimportantly,giveafewexamplesofhowyourpastexperienceistransferrabletothenewrole.Thisdoesn'thavetobeadirectconnection;infact,it'softenmoreimpressivewhenacandidatecanmakeseeminglyirrelevantexperienceseemveryrelevanttotherole.Howdoyoudealwithpressureorstressfulsituations?"Chooseananswerthatshowsthatyouc
