教學(xué)過程：1.Lead-in:*Everybodysaysknowledgeispower,butI’dliketotellyouthatknowledgeisnoteverything,especiallywhenyousetfootonsociety.Thatis,socialskillsareequallyimportant.*(picture)CanEastergetpromotion?Whynot?*Let’swatchashortvedio.Afteryourwatching,youshouldtellmewhythesmalltalkiswrong.Andhowtocorrectit?2.Reading1:SmallTalkReadandanswer:1)Whatissmalltalkaccordingtothepassage?2)Whatarethebenefitsofsmalltalk?3)Whataresafetopicstomakeasmalltalkifyoumeetastranger?4)Whattopicsshouldyouavoidtouchingon?這篇文章比較簡單，但是在細(xì)節(jié)理解上需要作出一些引導(dǎo)，力求學(xué)生思考總結(jié)，讀完知道究竟可以選擇什么話題來閑談才是安全的，什么樣的話題一點(diǎn)兒也不能涉及。所以，在2、3、4三個問題上都有進(jìn)一步的追問，第3題的追問是回顧舊識的搶答題。通過四個問題和三個追問，學(xué)生對整個文章和如何閑聊會有一個比較全面的了解。所以，這些問題的回答情況就是對我目標(biāo)一的評價。3.過渡：放一個小視頻，講述英國人和美國人見面都是閑聊什么——英國人談天氣，美國人談家人。提問：為什么英國人見面總談天氣？讀下一篇。4.Reading2：ExplainingBritishCustomsReadandanswer:1)WhydotheBritishalwaystalkabouttheweather?2)Whyshakinghandsisconsideredasafriendlygesture?3)Howdidthemilitarygesturesalutecomeintobeing?4)WhydotheBritishdriveontheleft-handsideoftheroad?前三題閱讀后回答就可以了。第四題這段有點(diǎn)難理解，設(shè)計為學(xué)生邊說邊表演出來，要求如下：*Groupworkwithoneorseveralmembersinvolved.*Youareexpectedtoacttheanswerout.*Youshouldexplainyourbehaviorwhileyou’reacting.Oronestudentactsasanarrator(陳述者)whileothersactthenarrationout.*Understandingthetextandexplainingthereasoncorrectlyaremoreimportantthanyouracting.*However,ifyoucooperatewellandperformaswonderfullyasyouspeak,youcangetoneextrapoint.5.RolePlaySupposeyouaregoingtotravelinBritaininthiswintervacation,soyouaskTom,anexchangestudentfromUK,somequestionsaboutsmalltalkandBritishcustoms.Pleasemakeadialogue,talkingaboutsmalltalkandsomeBritishcustoms.Possiblequestions:Issmalltalkreallyimportant?HowbestcanIbreaktheicewhenmeetingastranger?WhattopicsshouldIavoid?…WhydotheBritishalwaystalkabouttheweather?CanyoutellmesomemoreexplanationsforBritishcustoms?…6.HomeworkWriteacompositionaboutsmalltalk,talkingabouttheimportanceofit,thesafeice-breakingtopicsandthewrongones.Meanwhile,refertothereasonwhyweatheristhenumberonetopictheBritishdiscusswhenmeeting.學(xué)情分析：現(xiàn)在我教授的高二實(shí)驗(yàn)班的學(xué)生，有一定的英語基礎(chǔ)，但漏洞很多，在口語和書面表達(dá)上都比較生疏，偏科的學(xué)生不少。所以，課程的設(shè)計需要針對學(xué)生的弱勢環(huán)節(jié)，以閱讀和表達(dá)為主，在鞏固基礎(chǔ)的同時，需要不斷喚起學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)興趣，講述文化差異的文本就能起到這個作用。根據(jù)學(xué)生的特點(diǎn)，一節(jié)課處理兩個文本完全沒有問題，而且可以結(jié)合兩個文本的特點(diǎn)，讓學(xué)生們口頭模擬閑聊。效果分析：通過這節(jié)課的學(xué)習(xí)，學(xué)生掌握了smalltalk發(fā)生的場合和作用，了解了英國人見面喜歡聊天氣以及幾個手勢的歷史背景，了解了語言發(fā)生的文化背景，增加了學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)興趣，又在這個過程中訓(xùn)練了語言。教材分析：本模塊是選修六第一模塊，話題是smalltalk（閑聊），話題在人際交往上具有實(shí)用價值，值得深究。課本上有四篇文章，除了culturalcorner教給學(xué)生如何和陌生人聊天不會冷場，其他幾篇說明了閑談重要，舉了錯誤的例子，但是通常情況下究竟聊什么、避諱什么并沒有詳細(xì)說明。所以，我決定進(jìn)行拓展閱讀，讓學(xué)生們在讀后知道如何選擇話題來閑聊。選擇了一篇拓展文本后，我有了一個新的問題，為什么英國人喜歡見面聊天氣？這有什么文化背景嗎？我又找到了一篇講述英國諸多風(fēng)俗習(xí)慣原因的文章。文章很有趣，很適合學(xué)生們邊學(xué)語言，邊了解文化。SmallTalkSmalltalkisapopularwayofgettingtoknowsomeone,gettingintoaschoolorjob,orjustpassingthetime.Butdoyouthinkyou’regoodatit?Anddoyouevenknowhowtodoit?Ifnot,thenit’snevertoolatetolearn.Theartofsmalltalkistheartoftalkingaboutunimportantthingsliketheweather.Sowhyshouldyoufinditimportant?Therearemanyreasons,accordingtoBrettNelsoninForbesMagazine.It’scompletelyfree.Itdoesn’tmatterifyoufail,andyouneverknowwhereitwillgo–it“canleadtomanyoutcomes(后果),fromapleasantexchangetothesigningofamillion-dollarbusinessdeal”,accordingtoNelson.Thebenefitstosmalltalkdon’tstopthere.Itcanalsomakeussmarter,becauseastudybyresearchersattheUniversityofMichiganfoundthatfriendly，socialinteraction(互動)couldhelpussolveproblems.Youmaybewonderinghowbesttobreaktheice.Weatherisprobablythenumberonethingthatpeoplewhodonotknoweachotherwelldiscuss.Sportsnewsisalsoaverycommontopic,especiallyifalocalteamorplayerisdoingextremelywellorbadly.Andifyouandtheotherspeakerhavesomethingincommon,thatmayalsobeacceptabletotalkabout.Forexample,ifthebusyouareonisextremelyfull,youmighttalkaboutthereasonswhy.Complimentingsomeoneontheirclothingorhairisacceptable;however,youshouldprobablynotsayanything–goodorbad–aboutaperson’sbody.Basically,anysubjectthatdoesn’tmaketheotherpersongiveaverycleverorsoul-searchinganswerisfairgame.Ifyoubringupsomethinglikedeath,religion,politics,seriousnews,orastrongorcontroversial(有爭議的)opinion,youwillturnpeopleoff.反思：本節(jié)課的設(shè)計充分考慮了教材和學(xué)情，所選的文章既能讓學(xué)生學(xué)到交往技能，又能獲取語言知識，并且了解文化差異。以后也要精選文章作為拓展閱讀材料。而且，課程的設(shè)計遵循了目標(biāo)、評價、過程的一致性原則，力求讓學(xué)生們在“做中學(xué)”，調(diào)動了學(xué)生的積極性。學(xué)生的基礎(chǔ)還是不太好，尤其是口語表達(dá)，這是今后特別需要關(guān)注的一點(diǎn)，要在課堂上多給學(xué)生開口表達(dá)的機(jī)會。教學(xué)目標(biāo)：1.Clearlyunderstandtheimportanceofsmalltalkandknowhowtomakeasafesmalltalk.2.GettoknowtheoriginsofsomeBritishcustomsrelatedtoEnglishandbod
