Tomysurprise,TomwonthefirstprizeintheEnglishSpeechContest.令我驚訝的是Tom居然獲得了英語演講比賽的第一名。

要想這個句子學(xué)好,必須積累情緒名詞,比如:

【正態(tài)度】amazement驚奇,delight高興,joy高興,satisfaction滿足,excitement興奮,【負態(tài)度】annoyance煩惱,disappointment失望,horror恐怖,shame,羞恥sorrow悲傷,【中性態(tài)度】puzzlement迷惑,regret后悔,relief欣慰,surprise/amazement驚訝下面我們把這個簡單句型,進行升級。

【升級1】加強情緒的語氣

比如我想要表達的是:非常令我吃驚的是,湯姆在英語演講比賽中獲得了一等獎。你可以這樣寫:Much/Greatlytomysurprise,TomwonthefirstprizeintheEnglishSpeechContest.

也就是在to前面加上much,greatly,或者在名詞前面添加great這個形容詞:

Tomygreatsurprise,TomwonthefirstprizeintheEnglishSpeechContest.

【升級2】tothe+情緒名詞+of

sb(名詞或者代詞),比如我想要表達的是:令他的父母感到吃驚的是,他在英語演講比賽中獲得了一等獎。

Tothesurprisefhisparents,hewonthefirstprizeintheEnglishSpeechContest.這里把Tomysurprise改成了Tothesurprisefhisparents,本質(zhì)上,是兩種所有格的變換。

【升級3】情緒名詞疊可以加使用。比如我要表達:令他驚訝和高興的是,他在英語演講比賽中獲得了一等獎

Tohissurpriseandjoy,hewonthefirstprizeintheEnglishSpeechContest.

【升級4】:“toone’s+情緒名詞”位置可變換

這個短語的位置可以句首,句中,句末。請看下面例句:I,tomysurprise,foundthatTomwonthefirstprizeintheEnglishSpeechContest

Part2第二個情感萬能句:sb.feltagreatsenseof+情緒名詞+wellingupinsb’sheartandsurgingthroughsb.表示“某人感到一股強烈的在內(nèi)心升騰、奔涌?!边@個萬能句也可以用來描寫情緒和心理,比句式結(jié)構(gòu)比第一個句子要復(fù)雜,表現(xiàn)力也要更豐富。wellup表示“涌出”,我們可以這樣記憶well表示“好”以外,還可以表示“井”?!坝砍觥笔怯玫搅恕熬边@個含義。surge表示“洶涌”。這個句子的亮點是后半句wellingupinsb’sheartandsurgingthroughsb.,把情緒的描寫形象化,具體化了。我們先來看兩個例句:舉例:Sunny感到一股強烈的恐懼,在她心中升騰,奔涌。Sunnyfeltagreatsenseofhorrorwellingupinherheartandsurgingthroughher.舉例2:Jessica感到一股強烈的嫉妒,在她心中升騰,奔涌。Jessicafeltagreatsenseofjealousywellingupinherheartandsurgingthroughher.(jealous嫉妒的,jealousy是“嫉妒”的名詞形式。)我們再來看看,這個句型還可以如何拓展升級。非常簡單,就是加上非謂語動詞,在不同的位置,發(fā)揮的作用不同。升級一:句首可以加上doingsth,表示這種情緒產(chǎn)生的原因。舉例:看到一把斧子破門而入,Sunny感到一股強烈的恐懼在內(nèi)心升騰,奔涌Seeinganaxpiercingthroughthedoor,Sunnyfeltagreatsenseofhorrorwellingupinherheartandsurgingthroughher.升級二:句尾可以加上doingsth,表示這種情緒產(chǎn)生后的結(jié)果。請看下面的例句:杰西卡感到一種強烈的嫉妒感在她心中涌出來,把罐頭扔向女人。Jessicafeltagreatsenseofjealousywellingupinherheartandsurgingthroughher,throwingthecanatthewoman.(這句話里的can是名詞,罐頭。)What+情緒動詞+sb

+was+that從句What主語從句描述情緒,that表語從句描述情緒產(chǎn)生的原因,在續(xù)寫里我通常和學(xué)生說的是故事發(fā)展情節(jié)。【舉例】
