Ebolaisnaturallyfoundinfruitbats(果蝠),whichpassonthevirustootheranimalsbybitingorsuckingon(吮吸)theirblood。HumanswhoaresufferingfromtheEbolainfectionmighthavetouchedthebodilyfluidsoftheinfectedanimals。Onceinfected,ahumanbecomesacarrierofthedeadlyvirus.

Sinceweliveinaninterconnectedworld,wherethesituationinonecountrycanaffectusall,theinfluencesofEbolaarehuge:damagingtraderelations,affectingforeignvisitors,andweakeningentirecountries。AlreadytheGuineavirusisspreadingfastwithafewcasesspottedinConakry—thecapitalofGuinea,farawayfromtheoriginofthevirus.ItisfearedthatthediseasemayhavealreadyreachedneighboringLiberiaandSierraLeone,too。
