Encourage them to check their work in order to find and correct the mistakes made because of carelessness.2 Common spelling and grammar mistakes, such as, word usage mistake, punctuation mistake, wr

Divide the students into groups of two and ask them to read and discuss the passage on P:56 for five minutes and try to find the mistakes and correct them.4. Ask several students to find and check the mistakes and the whole class to read the passage

16、at last the whole class read the passage together.Step VI:.Language points (1) My penfriend in the USA hasnt replied to my last three e-mails. A. reply(過去式:_; 現(xiàn)在分詞:_) “回答;答復”。一般作不及物動詞,跟賓語時后面要加to. Eg .I asked him where he was going but he didnt reply. Who can _ _ (回答) this question? B. reply還可以作名詞,意為

17、“回答,答復”。 Eg. Thank you very much for your reply.reply 與answer區(qū)別answer 用法比較廣泛,可指口說或筆寫的答復,它是及物動詞,可以帶賓語。Reply指較正式的,經過考慮后的答復,它是不及物動詞,不可以直接跟賓語。只有加上介詞“to“后,才可以跟賓語。如:I called ,but no one answered it.我給他打了電話,但沒有人接。Can you answer this question?你能回答這個問題嗎?I sent in my application ,and the university replied im

18、mediately.我把申請書送去,那所大學立即答復了。(2) pleasure (n.) “樂趣,榮幸” ; pleased (adj.) “ 高興,樂意” ; pleasant (adi.) “ 令人愉快,令人舒服的” Eg. -Thank you for giving me your advice.-My _. Thats what friends are for.Im _ with the _ trip.Its a _ to work with you.(3) suffer from 受痛苦,受折磨Eg. Many students suffer from stress. 現(xiàn)在還有很多

19、人遭受饑餓的痛苦。_ 我的母親經常遭受牙痛之苦。 _(4) though “ 雖然,盡管” 引導讓步狀語從句,不能和but 連用,用法與although 一樣。 Eg.
