4、yofindifferencecurvesisthattheyaredownwardsloping.Thispropertyisadirectconsequenceofthepropertythatmoreisalwayspreferredtoless.Thesecondpropertyofindifferencecurvesisthattheyarebowedtowardtheorigin.Thispropertyisadirectconsequenceofconsumerspreferencefordiversity.Consumersmaximizetheamountofutilityt
5、heycanderivefromtheirgivenamountofavailableresources.Theoptimalbundlehasthepropertythatitrepresentsapointoftangencyofthebudgetlinewithanindifferencecurve.Anequivalentpropertyisthatthemarginalrateofsubstitutionofleisureforconsumptionandleisureisequaltotherealwage.Inresponsetoanincreaseindividendincom
