2-caudalpostcentral(areapostcentraliscaudalis).Locatedprimarilyinthecaudalportionofthepostcentralgyrusandtherostrallipofthepostcentralsulcuswithacaudalextensionalongtheintraparietalsulcus.Cytoarchitecturallyboundedrostrallybytheintermediatepostcentralarea1andcaudallybythepreparietalarea5,thesuperiorparietalarea7andthesupramarginalarea40.

3-rostralpostcentral(areapostcentralisoralis).Locatedprimarilyintherostralportionofthepostcentralgyrusincludingthecaudalbankofthecentralsulcus.Ateitherendofthesulcusitcanextendbeyondthedepthofthesulcusintotheprecentralgyrus.Cytoarchitecturallyboundedrostrallybythegigantopyramidalarea4andcaudallybytheintermediatepostcentralarea1.

4-gigantopyramidal(areagigantopyramidalis).Locatedintheprecentralgyrus.Cytoarchitecturallythecaudalboundarywiththerostralpostcentralarea3doesnotcoincidepreciselywiththefloorofthecentralsulcusbutliesvariablyinthebanksofthepostcentralgyrusandtheprecentralgyrus.Theareaalsodoesnotextendinallcasestothecingulatesulcusmediallyortotheendofthecentralsulcusventro-laterally.Boundedrostrallybythefrontalagranulararea6.

5-preparietal(areapraeparietalis).Occupiesthesuperiorparietallobuleandaportionofthepostcentralgyrus,particularlyonthemedialaspectofthehemisphere.Boundedapproximatelybythecingulatesulcusonthemedialaspectofthehemisphereandbythesuperiorpostcentralsulcusonthelateralaspect.Cytoarchitecturallyboundedbythecaudalpostcentralarea2,thesuperiorparietalarea7andonthemedialbankofthehemispherebythegigantopyramidalarea4andthedorsalposteriorcingulatearea31.

6-agranularfrontal(areafrontalisagranularis).Locatedprimarilyinthecaudalportionsofthesuperiorfrontalgyrusandthemiddlefrontalgyrusandtherostralportionsoftheprecentralgyrusnotoccupiedbythegigantopyramidalarea4.Itextendsfromthecingulatesulcusonthemedialaspectofthehemispheretothelateralsulcusonthelateralaspect.Cytoarchitecturallyboundedrostrallybythefrontalregionandcaudallybythegigantopyramidalarea4.

7-superiorparietal(areaparietalissuperior).Occupiesmuchofthesuperiorparietallobuleandsomeoftheprecuneus.Boundedapproximatelybythesuperiorpostcentralsulcusrostrally,theintraparietalsulcuslaterally,theparieto-occipitalsulcuscaudallyand,onthemedialbankofthehemisphere,thesubparietalsulcus.Cytoarchitecturallyboundedrostrallybythepreparietalarea5andthecaudalpostcentralarea2;caudallybytheperistriatearea19;andmediallybythedorsalposteriorcingulatearea31.

8-intermediatefrontal(areafrontalisintermedia).Locatedprimarilyinthesuperiorfrontalgyrusextendingfromthecingulatesulcusonthemedialsurfaceoverthemarginofthehemispheretothemiddlefrontalgyrus.Cytoarchitecturallyboundedcaudallybytheagranularfrontalarea6andventrallybythegranularfrontalarea9.

9-granularfrontal(areafrontalisgranularis).Occupiesportionsofthesuperiorfrontalgyrusandthemiddlefrontalgyrus.Itsapproximateboundaryonthemedialaspectofthehemisphereisthecingulatesulcusand,onthelateralaspect,theinferiorfrontalsulcus.Cytoarchitecturallyboundeddorsocaudallybytheintermediatefrontalarea8,caudallybytheagranularfrontalarea6,andventrallybythefrontopolararea10,themiddlefrontalarea46andtheoperculararea44.

10-frontopolar(areafrontopolaris).Occupiesthemostrostralportionsofthesuperiorfrontalgyrusandthemiddlefrontalgyrus.Onthemedialaspectofthehemisphereitisandthesuperiorrostralsulcusitsventralboundary;rostrallyitextendsalmosttothemarginofthefrontallobe.Cytoarchitecturallyboundedinternallybytheventralanteriorcingulatearea24,externallybymedialmarginsoftheagranularfrontalarea6,intermediatefrontalarea8,granularfrontalarea9,frontopolararea10,andprefrontalarea11.

33-pregenual(areapraegenualis).Anarrowbandlocatedintheanteriorcingulategyrusadjacenttothesupracallosalgyrusinthedepthofthecallosalsulcus.Cytoarchitecturallyboundedbytheventralanteriorcingulatearea24andthesupracallosalgyrus.

34-dorsalentorhinal(areaentorhinalisdorsalis).Locatedintheentorhinalareaonthemedialaspectofthetemporallobe.Itandtheentorhinalarea28togetherconstituteapproximatelytheentorhinalarea.
