1、Lesson Plan of Unit 5Nelson Mandela - a modern hero(第4課時)一、教材內(nèi)容分析覆蓋內(nèi)容: Using language(Listening & Reading and discussing)教材分析:本單元的中心話題是當代英雄納爾遜曼德拉,閱讀、聽力等所選材 料通過黑人工人伊萊亞斯的敘訴,主要介紹了納爾遜曼德拉的生平事跡,語言知 識和語言技能等都是圍繞這一中心話題展開的。本課時教學內(nèi)容是聽力與閱讀教學 相結(jié)合。在聽力短文中,伊萊亞斯講述了他為了爭取與白人平等的權利而參加了曼 德拉的非洲國民大會青年聯(lián)盟。在閱讀短文中,伊萊亞斯講述了他在
2、羅本島監(jiān)獄服 刑期間得到曼德拉的幫助;在非國大掌權后,在曼德拉的安排下,伊萊亞斯又回到 羅本島監(jiān)獄擔任解說,向游客介紹羅本島的過去。二、教學目標Develop the studentslistening and reading skills.Enable the students to learn to express their own opinions and ideas.Get the students to learn about some great people and learn noble qualities.三、教學過程PartIListening(13 minuteSSte

Can you explain to me some of Nelson Mandelas political ideas or beliefs? What was Nelson Mandelas way of fighting? Why did he change to violence? What was life li
14、ke on Robben Island? Where did you learn to read and write? Why did you become a tour guide? What do you think of your present job?Give the students several minutes to practice their interview. The teacher can walkaround the classroom and see whether the students need some help.
